Vera Mae Gordon had a heart that knew no bounds. Rooted in faith and guided by love, she inspired the mission of V's Heart and left a legacy of compassion, connection, and service. This scholarship honors students who carry her light through humility, grace, excellence, resilience, visionary spirit, service, and faith. Through this scholarship, her visionary spirit continues to guide future leaders who lead with purpose and give with a heart wide open.
James and Christine Brown, Sr. lived with perseverance, faith, and vision. Through hard work and determination, James built a successful plumbing business, while Christine championed education, excellence, faith, service, family, and lifelong learning. Established through V's Heart after their passing in July 2024, this scholarship honors their legacy by recognizing students who demonstrate vision, leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to meaningful impact.

Inspired by V's Heart, this single award honors a student who demonstrates perseverance, adaptability, growth, and a commitment to meaningful impact. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, the scholarship recognizes a student who continues to rise, transform, and step boldly into their boundless potential.
The V's Heart Butterfly Effect Scholarship reflects the heart of the organization's mission: to uplift, empower, and encourage students as they pursue their education and future goals. This award recognizes a student who demonstrates resilience, leadership, compassion, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. Each year, select awards may be given in loving memory of individuals whose lives continue to inspire V's Heart's work.
